How the Pakeha & Maori viewed the Treaty of Waitangi

Was it just a piece of paper with some signatures on it.
Seen as a spiritual relationship between Queen Victoria and the Maori chiefs
What did people want as an outcome of the treaty?  Rule more land

Cheaper Farmer
To farm and plant their crops to get foo

The rules are loosened.
Its not  as big as a deal.
Happy because they have right to land.

The realised what they had signed.
They weren't to happy with the result so far.
It had only benefited in some ways.
