Blood Splats

Walt : Analyse blood splats and explain the details.
2cm
0.5cm:Wide     3.9 cm:Long
My two cm was a long thin shape and a majority of the blood was thicker towards the bottom.
Colour: Medium / Light Red
10cm
0.5cm:Wide     3.8cm:Long
The 10 cm was similar to the 2 cm but just the slightest bit shorter and the blood sat towards the bottom.
Colour: Light Red
20cm
7cm: Wide        3.8cm Long
This one was a blob but had 4 drops along side probably from the impact. it was the most dense around the edges.
Colour: Dark Red
50cm
1.3cm: Wide       1.3cm: Long
This is one was a perfect circle but a majority of the blood was towards the top of the circle.
Colour: Dark to Light Red
1m
1.7cm: Wide       1.7cm: Long
One again a perfect circle but this one had triangle kind of shapes sticking out of the square. The density was in stripes towards the middle.
Colour: Light to Dark Red
1.5m
1.3cm: Wide       1.1cm: Long
This dot was small and the blood was completely evened out. There was a tiny dot sitting a couple of cm away.
Colour Red : Light Red

Blood Splats

In class we have been learning about forensic scientists. We were seeing how height can change the appearance of blood splats. The height we did were 2cm, 10cm, 20cm, 50cm, 1m, & 1.5m. My blood splats didn't really change but some peoples the higher they went the more of a splat it caused. For the blood we used watered down red paint and used a pippete to squeeze a single dot out.  This was part of our Inquiry.

Pointillism Art

For Art last term (term 3) we did pointillism art. This is when you create a picture using dots. For mine I decided to do a chameleon with an ombre effect in the background and on the camillion.
