In maths we have been learning to use multiple multiplication strategies. Josef and I choice to use this multiplication strategy.
What we did??
We added 9 to 81 to make it a easy multiple of 3.
Then divided 90 by 3 to give us 30.
Then since we added on nine we divided 9 by 3 giving us 3
The we took 3 away from 30 to give us are answer 27.
To check that we timed 27 and 3 which ended up giving us 81.
